Our marina is an El Dorado for families.
Children, small and large, enjoy our playground, spacious playing fields and sailing training. And for their dingy the slope and the jetty. All this safely, and far away from the busy traffic.
Catch the crabs and put them back in the water. Everything is possible.
Our fields are a challenge for your sporting wishes.
Small goals to shoot one into it. Or a smash over the net that is worth repeating.
(Grand) parents find a supermarket, bakery, water sports shop, boat lift and ship repair, various eateries, a cafe, a tea garden, etcetera within a pleasant walking distance in the village of Herkingen.
If it seems a bit too far, our harbor master is happy to lend a bicycle. Free of course.
Our port is a great base for exploring our unique Grevelingen.
WSV Herkingen offers you all the ingredients for a relaxing and "cool" stay for young and also slightly older.
The terrace of our clubhouse, 't Krabbennest, offers you a great view over the harbor and the Grevelingen.
And in our Krabbennest it is really pleasant.
Certainly when the weather conditions are not going well. And also because it is really comfortable!
Oh yes, do not forget to bring your own "wet and dry".
We do not tap, with us you do that yourself. That makes a difference....
You are welcome to top up your provisions in the local supermarket nearby.
Our harbor masters do their best to make your stay in our harbor unforgettable.
At the reception in our port office you will find our guestbook in which you can write how you enjoyed your visit.
The Brouwersdam was closed in the spring of 1971.
With the definitive closure of the North Sea, the Grevelingen became the largest saltwater lake in Western Europe.
Initiators from the Herkingen bourgeoisie on Goeree-Overflakkee founded our WaterSportVereniging in the same year.
Our association now has more than 600 members.
The old "cargo port" of our village Herkingen was tuned by the active "Haerkense" founders of the WSV Herkingen to the new requirements and has now become a real "club marina".
Bearing in mind the way the founders work, our association has always adjusted our port to the newest requirements.
The accommodation now has, certainly since the completion of our new Port Building, all the facilities that modern water sports enthusiasts can expect.
