Our marina is an El Dorado for families.
Children, small and large, enjoy our playground, spacious playing fields and sailing training. Catching crabs and launching them again. Or launch their dinghy via the scaffolding scaffolding. Our fields offer sufficient challenge for your sporting wishes. Yet there is always a quiet place to be found.
Everything is possible. Everything safe and far away from the busy traffic.
The Brouwersdam was closed in the spring of 1971.
With the definitive closure of the North Sea, the Grevelingen became the largest saltwater lake in Western Europe.
Initiators from the Herkingen bourgeoisie on Goeree-Overflakkee founded our WaterSportVereniging in the same year.
Our association now has more than 600 members.
The old "cargo port" of our village Herkingen was tuned by the active "Haerkense" founders of the WSV Herkingen to the new requirements and has now become a real "club marina".
Bearing in mind the way the founders work, our association has always adjusted our port to the newest requirements.
The accommodation now has, certainly since the completion of our new Port Building, all the facilities that modern water sports enthusiasts can expect.
